YouTube RPM and CPM in Mexico

YouTube RPM in Mexico is about $0.62 per 1,000 views on Lenos's estimate, the only RPM this page quotes (YT Money Calculator's "Creator RPM" is left out, see below), and published CPM estimates run from $1.41 to $3.50. Google publishes no official figure for any country. Mexico sits between two very different neighbours: the United States and Canada in its own region, and Spain in its own language.

Every published estimate for Mexico

Google publishes no CPM or RPM figure by country — not in YouTube Help, not in the Analytics documentation. These are the third-party sources this site tracks that cover Mexico, with the date each last updated its figures. We re-read them against this table on November 3, 2026.

SourceUpdatedCPMRPMStated method
YT Money CalculatorMar 13, 2026$1.60–$3.50not publishedFebruary–March 2026 averages across all niches. No further method stated.
LenosApr 2, 2026$1.41$0.62States only that the authors reviewed channel data and dashboards. No method stated.

Across these sources the highest CPM estimate is 2.5× the lowest ($3.50 against $1.41). Lenos's single figure ($1.41) is below the bottom of YT Money Calculator's range ($1.60–$3.50).

Lenos's RPM in Mexico is 44.0% of its own CPM. YT Money Calculator also prints a "Creator RPM" column, which it describes as 55% of CPM; this page leaves it out, because RPM is not CPM × 0.55 (checked November 3, 2026).

Mexico against its neighbours

Compared with the countries that share its language or its region, and with the larger markets its channels can reach. The CPM column is YT Money Calculator alone — the one source that covers nearly every country here — so the ratio compares like with like; RPM is Lenos's. In the last column 1.00× is Mexico itself and 2.00× would be double its CPM.

CountryCPM (YT Money Calculator)RPM (Lenos)CPM vs Mexico
Mexico$1.60–$3.50$0.621.00×
Spain$3.50–$8.00$3.912.25×
Argentina$0.90–$2.20$0.560.61×

United States$32.00–$36.00$10.8113.33×
Canada$28.00–$32.00$9.6211.76×

By the midpoint of every published CPM, Mexico is No. 27 of the 38 countries this site has estimates for; by Lenos's RPM it is No. 22 of 29.

What sets ad rates in Mexico

On every source that covers them, Mexico is below the United States, Canada and Spain. YT Money Calculator gives Mexico $1.60–$3.50 against $32.00–$36.00 for the United States, $28.00–$32.00 for Canada and $3.50–$8.00 for Spain; Lenos gives $1.41 against $32.75, $29.15 and $14.22.

Against the rest of Latin America the order depends on the source. YT Money Calculator puts Mexico ($1.60–$3.50) between Brazil ($1.80–$4.00) and Argentina ($0.90–$2.20); Lenos puts Mexico ($1.41) above both Brazil ($1.14) and Argentina ($1.10).

YouTube prices each view by where the viewer is, so for a Mexican channel the rate that matters is its audience's: views from the United States are priced at US rates, and they are also the only views on which US tax is withheld once tax info is on file (see below).

YouTube's own explanation is short: advertisers choose which geographies their ads reach, and different locations have different levels of competition in the ad market. The season moves it too — many advertisers bid higher just before holidays. So when the share of your viewers in each country shifts, your CPM shifts with it (YouTube Help, verified November 3, 2026).

Worked example: 100,000 views in Mexico

At Lenos's RPM of $0.62 per 1,000 views, 100,000 monthly views from viewers in Mexico come to about $62 a month, and 1,000,000 views to about $620.

Few channels draw from one country. If half of those 100,000 views — 50,000 — came from Spain instead, where the same source puts RPM at $3.91, the month would come to about $227 rather than $62.

This is arithmetic on one publication's estimate, not a forecast. Your real RPM, split by country, is in YouTube Studio under Analytics → Revenue, on the Geography card.

Getting paid in Mexico: currency and threshold

AdSense pays YouTube earnings once the balance reaches the payment threshold, which Google sets per reporting currency. For an account whose reporting currency is the Mexican peso, it is Mex$1,200 (AdSense Help, verified November 3, 2026).

When an advertiser pays in another currency, AdSense converts at the prevailing market rate from the day before the ads were shown. If your bank account is in yet another currency, your bank may convert a second time at its own rate (AdSense Help).

With valid tax info submitted, only the earnings from viewers in the United States are subject to US tax withholding: 0–30%, depending on whether your country has a tax treaty with the US. If no tax info is provided, Google may be required to deduct up to 24% of your total earnings worldwide (YouTube Help, verified November 3, 2026).

The country sets the rate; hours on air set the views. TheLoops keeps a stream live on YouTube 24/7 from the cloud, so viewers in Mexico and everywhere else find it running whenever they look.

Questions about YouTube RPM in Mexico

On every published estimate, by a wide margin: Lenos puts RPM at $10.81 for the United States against $0.62 for Mexico. A Mexican channel earns that rate on the views that come from the US; the Geography card in YouTube Analytics shows how many do.

About $0.62 per 1,000 views, on Lenos's estimate (updated April 2, 2026) — the only RPM this page quotes for Mexico; YT Money Calculator also prints a "Creator RPM", which it describes as about 55% of CPM, so it is left out. Google publishes no official figure. Your own RPM, split by country, is in YouTube Studio under Analytics → Revenue.

Published estimates run from $1.41 to $3.50: YT Money Calculator $1.60–$3.50 (updated March 13, 2026); Lenos $1.41 (updated April 2, 2026). They disagree because none of the sources says which of YouTube's CPM figures it means, and none describes its method in more than a sentence or two.

About $62 at Lenos's estimated RPM of $0.62, and about $620 for 1,000,000 views — if every view comes from Mexico. Views from other countries earn their own rates, and RPM moves with niche and season.

AdSense pays YouTube earnings once the balance reaches the payment threshold, which Google sets per reporting currency. For an account whose reporting currency is the Mexican peso, it is Mex$1,200 (AdSense Help, verified November 3, 2026).
